This page contains all JamiiNet policies governing the use of the JamiiNet mobile application and website (collectively, the "Service"). JamiiNet is a community marketplace platform that connects local users with businesses offering products, services, and adverts.
Important: The JamiiNet app does not request or access SMS messages, call logs, phone call functionality, or other phone/SMS permissions. It is not a default handler for SMS or phone calls.

This Privacy Policy explains how JamiiNet ("we", "our", "us") collects, uses, and protects your information when you use the JamiiNet mobile application and website (collectively, the "Service"). The Service is a community marketplace platform that connects local users with businesses offering products, services, and adverts.

We collect information you provide directly and information collected automatically when you use the Service.
1.1 Information You Provide
- Account information: name, email address, and phone number when you create an account.
- Profile information: profile photo, business details, service area, and other information you add to your profile.
- Content you post: adverts, listings, messages, reviews, ratings, photos, and video or audio recordings you upload.
- Payment information: payments are processed by third-party providers (such as Stripe and PayPal). We do not store full card numbers on our servers.
- Support communications: information you send us when contacting support, including messages and files.
1.2 Information Collected Automatically
- Device information: device model, operating system version, and unique device identifiers.
- Log data: IP address, pages visited, access times, and interaction data.
- Location data: approximate or precise location when you grant location permission, used to show nearby businesses and services.
- Usage analytics: aggregated statistics about how the Service is used.
2. Permissions We Use
JamiiNet requests the following permissions only for the specific purposes described below. You can deny or revoke any of these permissions in your device settings at any time without preventing the core use of the app.

We do not request access to SMS messages, phone contacts, phone calls, call logs, or device storage beyond the media you choose to upload.

- Match you with relevant businesses, services, and adverts.
- Send notifications and, with your consent, promotional communications.
- Provide customer support and respond to your requests.

- Comply with legal obligations and enforce our terms.
4. How We Share Your Information
We do not sell your personal information. We may share information in the following circumstances:
- With your consent: for example, when you choose to publish a public listing or advert.
- With service providers: companies that help us operate the Service (hosting, analytics, payment processing, customer support). These providers are bound by confidentiality obligations.
- For legal reasons: when required by law, regulation, legal process, or governmental request, or to protect our rights, safety, and property.
- Business transfers: in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, we may transfer your information to the successor entity.
5. Data Retention
We retain your information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Service, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce agreements. When you delete your account, we will delete or anonymize your personal information unless we are required by law to retain it.

The Service is not directed to children under the age of 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe we have inadvertently collected information from a child under 13, please contact us so we can delete it.

3. User Accounts
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials. You agree to provide accurate information during registration and to update it as necessary. JamiiNet is not liable for any loss arising from unauthorised use of your account.
4. User Conduct
You agree not to:
- Use the Service for any illegal purpose or in violation of any local, national, or international law.
- Harass, threaten, intimidate, or abuse other users.
- Post false, misleading, or fraudulent content.
- Impersonate any person or entity, or falsely state or otherwise misrepresent your affiliation.
- Upload viruses, malware, or any other malicious code.
- Interfere with or disrupt the integrity or performance of the Service.
- Attempt to gain unauthorised access to the Service or related systems.
5. Content Guidelines
Users are responsible for the content they post. Content must not be illegal, defamatory, harassing, or violate the rights of any third party. JamiiNet reserves the right to remove content that violates these guidelines.
6. Termination
JamiiNet reserves the right to suspend or terminate your account at any time for conduct that violates these Terms or is otherwise harmful to the Service or its users.
7. Disclaimer of Warranties
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. JamiiNet does not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free service.
8. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, JamiiNet shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service.

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the Service after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

Ad Review Process
All ads are reviewed by JamiiNet before publication. Ads that violate these policies may be rejected or removed. JamiiNet reserves the right to suspend or terminate advertising accounts that repeatedly violate these policies.
Monetization Policies
JamiiNet offers monetization options for businesses and content creators. These policies govern the use of monetization features.
Advertiser Policies
- Advertisers must have an active JamiiNet business account.
- All advertising campaigns must comply with the Advertising Policies.
- Payment for advertising is processed securely through Stripe or PayPal.
- Advertisers are responsible for ensuring their ads comply with all applicable laws.
Creator Monetization
- Content creators may earn revenue when adverts are shown with their uploaded content (impressions, clicks, and views).
- Creators earn a 50% share of ad revenue; JamiiNet keeps the remaining 50% as a platform fee.
- Payouts require a minimum available balance of $10.00 and are subject to admin review before funds are sent.
- Payments are made via a saved card (Stripe) or PayPal after a payout is requested and approved.
Brand Resources
JamiiNet's brand assets, including logos, trademarks, and visual identity, are protected by intellectual property laws. These resources are provided for authorized use only.
Guidelines for Use
- Brand assets may only be used in accordance with JamiiNet's Brand Guidelines.
- You may not alter, modify, or create derivative works from JamiiNet's brand assets without permission.
- Use of JamiiNet's brand assets does not imply endorsement or partnership unless explicitly agreed in writing.
Trademark Protection
JamiiNet and its logo are registered trademarks. You may not use these trademarks in connection with any product or service without JamiiNet's prior written consent.
Terms for Business
These additional terms apply to business accounts on JamiiNet.
Business Account Requirements
- Businesses must provide accurate and complete information when registering.
- Business accounts are subject to verification by JamiiNet.
- Businesses are responsible for maintaining the accuracy of their profile and listing information.
Advertiser Responsibilities
- Advertisers must ensure all content is truthful and compliant with applicable laws.
- Advertisers are solely responsible for their advertising campaigns and the products or services promoted.
- JamiiNet is not liable for any disputes between advertisers and customers.
Payment Terms
- All advertising fees are billed in advance.
- Payment is processed securely through our payment processors (Stripe and PayPal).
- Refunds for advertising purchases are available for the unused portion of the advert budget, provided the request is made within 12 hours of payment and the active advert plan is canceled. See the Payment Policies for details.

Payment Policies
JamiiNet's payment policies govern all financial transactions on the platform.
Payment Processing
- All payments are processed securely through Stripe and PayPal.
- JamiiNet does not store full credit card or bank account numbers on our servers.
- Payment receipts are sent to the email address associated with the account.
Refunds
JamiiNet offers refunds for eligible payments under the terms below. Refund requests are reviewed by an administrator before any refund is processed.
- Customer subscriptions: Refund requests must be submitted within 48 hours of the payment date. A 10% processing charge is deducted from the refunded amount, and a minimum refund of $20.00 applies. A successful refund cancels your subscription.
- Business advert plans: Refund requests must be submitted within 12 hours of the payment date. Refunds cover only the unused portion of your advert budget — the paid amount minus the value already consumed by ad impressions, clicks, and views at your CPM/CPC/CPV rates. A successful refund cancels your advert plan.
- Refunds are returned to the original saved card via Stripe, or paid out to your PayPal email on file when PayPal was selected as the refund method.
- Refunds can only be requested on successful payments and only once per payment.
- Refunds are processed on a case-by-case basis and may require additional documentation.
Payouts (Ad Revenue)
Content creators can earn money when adverts are displayed with their uploaded content. Earnings are calculated from ad impressions, clicks, and views and paid out through JamiiNet's payout system.
- Creators earn a 50% share of ad revenue generated by their content; JamiiNet retains the remaining 50% as a platform fee.
- Earnings are calculated at the applicable CPM (cost per 1,000 impressions), CPC (cost per click), and CPV (cost per view) rates, which vary by the viewer's region.
- A minimum available balance of $10.00 is required before a payout can be requested.
- Payouts can be sent to a saved card via Stripe or to your PayPal email address.
- Payout requests are placed under admin review (typically a 1-hour hold) before the funds are transferred.
- Payouts are sent to the payout method you choose and may take a few business days to arrive depending on your provider.
Subscription Management
- Subscriptions are billed in advance on a recurring basis.
- Users may cancel their subscription at any time through their account settings.
- Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period.
Account Security
Protecting your account is a shared responsibility between JamiiNet and you.
Your Responsibilities
- Maintain the confidentiality of your account credentials at all times.
- Do not share your account with any third party.
- Notify us immediately of any unauthorised access or security breach.
- Use a strong, unique password for your JamiiNet account.
Our Responsibilities
- We implement industry-standard encryption (TLS) for all data in transit.
- We use secure hashing for password storage.
- We monitor for suspicious account activity and may require additional verification.
- We provide two-factor authentication options where available.
Intellectual Property
JamiiNet's intellectual property and the intellectual property of third parties are protected by law.

Consequences
Violations of User Conduct may result in content removal, account suspension, or permanent termination. JamiiNet cooperates with law enforcement when conduct involves illegal activity.
